At the Edge of the Fields – Natural Tranquility
The three-part building ensemble consists of a two-story residential house, an outbuilding used as an orangery, and a garage and utility building, and as a group it marks the transition between the established built-up area and the wide, adjoining landscape.
The outward clarity of the design gives little indication of its inner complexity: in the main spaces such as the kitchen, living area, and foyer, generous double-height volumes and galleries create engaging sightlines toward the roof space with its exposed timber structure.
Through the interplay of contrasts and opposites, unexpected spatial surprises emerge, creating in this way a home that offers a complete sense of well-being.
