The new Leaf Green color contrasts with the warm Sunset Dimming Light and makes Salt a statement piece of fresh energy and relaxing well-being. Leaf Green finds its inspiration in photosynthesis: the process that plants use to turn Light produce energy.

What distinguishes Salt from Salt & Pepper?
Salt is the holistic re-design of the Salt & Pepper. It has evolved technically, in its form and use at all levels. Salt has been fully optimized for wellbeing and offers the most progressive lighting experience we have ever designed.
Aesthetically, Salt has become more petite and agile in its design language. This makes it even more user friendly. Its underside has been redesigned and now has a rubberized bottom where you will find the power button and the small Magic Button to select the light color mode. The soft underside allows for a super comfortable and silent putting down of the portable battery light.
Technically, Salt has brand new features: You can now choose between 3 different dimming curves, each of which can be dimmed from the lamp head with the ultra-touch sensitive surface. Salt shines a deep orange light with no blues and has been proven to boost your melatonin release. Salt thus supports your healthy bio-rhythm and has a calming effect on body and mind.
The portable lamp also features the Sunset Sleep Timer that you can activate with a 3-second press of the Magic Button: the light automatically dims gradually over 30 minutes and then switches itself off to standby mode.
An all-new USB-C Power Delivery 9V/12V battery can be easily replaced in a few simple steps, taking Salt to the next level of sustainability. It also provides 50% more power, allowing the light to emit up to 150 hours of light at medium output. The USB-C port for charging is now on the side, making charging easier. Just above it, you'll find a smart LED indicator that tells you just how full the battery is. It shows if you're currently interacting with Salt, and if the timer has been activated.
Salt comes in four new Powder Skin colors: Blood Orange, Sunset Orange, Black and Sand White.

How long does Salt's battery last and how long does it take to recharge?
Salt has an all-new USB-C Power Delivery 9V / 12V battery that has up to 150 hours of power at medium output. On Clear Light's lowest dimming setting, the battery has over 500 hours of runtime. It is fully recharged within just 2 hours.
The modern USB-C port on the side makes it easy to charge the light, and the smart LED signals the remaining battery life. When interacting with the light, the smart-LED lights up for three seconds: 100 – 20% green light, 20 – 5% orange light, >5% pulsating orange light.
How does Salt's dimming work?
Salt features an ultra-touch sensitive head. With a short tap on the head surface, you turn Salt on or off. Dim the brightness with a long press or gentle swipe.
Using the small Magic Button on the bottom of the luminaire, you can choose between three dimming curves: Clear Light, Golden Light and Sunset Orange.
The larger Power button on the bottom of the light turns Salt off completely.
Can Salt withstand moisture?
Yes. Salt's rugged Powder Skin surface is drip-proof (IP 21). It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and can even withstand a small shower.
