What spaces was Xt-a Ceiling developed for?

Xt-a Ceiling was specifically developed for open-space lighting, particularly for conference rooms, corridors, and large office environments. The combination of patented OSA lighting technology, precise glare control, and intuitive light management creates a clear, comfortable, and productive working environment. Xt-a Ceiling is designed and manufactured at the GRAU Campus in Germany.

What is OSA lighting technology in Xt-a Ceiling?

OSA (Optical System Anti-glare) is a patented lighting technology from GRAU that combines maximum glare reduction with high light output. The technology ensures that light is directed precisely onto the desired surfaces without causing disturbing glare in the field of vision, a crucial factor for long periods of focused work in office and conference environments.

What versions of Xt-a Ceiling are available?

Xt-a Ceiling is available in eight versions defined by three parameters: length (150 cm or 240 cm), light direction (direct-light focus or indirect-light focus), and sensor option (with or without sensor). The length depends on room size and desired light coverage. Direct-light focus is ideal for work surfaces and tables, while indirect-light focus provides even ambient illumination via the ceiling. The optional sensor enables automatic lighting control through motion and daylight detection.

What is the difference between direct-light focus and indirect-light focus in Xt-a Ceiling?

In the 'direct-light focus' version, light is primarily directed downward onto work surfaces and tables, making it ideal for conference rooms and desk areas where high illumination levels are required. In the 'indirect-light focus' version, light is primarily directed upward onto the ceiling, which then reflects it evenly throughout the room. This creates a glare-free, diffuse ambient illumination without harsh shadows, particularly suitable for corridors, reception areas, and spaces where a pleasant room atmosphere is the priority.

Is the sensor version of Xt-a Ceiling worthwhile?

The sensor version of Xt-a Ceiling is especially useful in office and commercial environments with changing occupancy, such as conference rooms, corridors, or shared spaces. The integrated sensor automatically regulates lighting based on motion and available daylight, significantly reducing energy consumption while increasing comfort by eliminating the need for manual switching.

What does Xt-a Ceiling cost and what warranty applies?

Xt-a Ceiling costs €1,480 including VAT. Delivery within Germany is free for orders above €50. An optional 5-year warranty is available through GRAU Care. Xt-a Ceiling is manufactured at the GRAU Campus in Germany using high-quality materials.
