Good office lighting operates on two levels: ambient background light for the room and direct task lighting for the work at hand. Task lamps cover the second level, bringing brightness directly to the workspace. Desk lamps like John or Parrot Table illuminate the work surface in a targeted manner rather than brightening the entire room. GRAU directs the light onto the surface using precise optics, such as Beam Lens technology, keeping it out of the direct line of sight to minimize glare. The color temperature can be customized: Team Connect features Color Tune (2,700–4,000 Kelvin), while John and Parrot Table transition from neutral task light to a warm tone via distinct modes or Sunset Dimming. High color rendering (CRI 90, CRI 90+ for John) displays colors and materials accurately—essential for anyone designing, reviewing, or editing.
